Thanksgiving is coming up, and you know what that means. Thanksgiving leftovers! This delicious dessert recipe utilizes two Thanksgiving staples that you might have extra of laying around after the big meal: pie crust & cranberry sauce.
Repurpose those ingredients into something beautiful! These could easily be included on a dessert grazing table or a perfect host gift for your December holiday parties. You can also easily freeze your pie crust and cranberry sauce to make these later on!
Cranberry Hand Pies
1 premade or homemade pie crust (if using premade, you'll need the type that rolls out)
1 cup homemade or storebought cranberry sauce
Roll out your pie crust. Using a circle cookie or biscuit cutter, cut out 8-10 circles.
Lay half of your pie crust circles on a baking sheet. Add about a teaspoon of cranberry sauce to the center.
Lay the remaining pie crust circles over top to create your hand pie. Using a fork, close the edges of the hand pies together.
Whisk the egg and brush over each hand pie. Bake your hand pies at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, until brown.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar & enjoy!
